This piece was created as a talisman for personal growth - with the Intention “Each Day, Create Beauty”
The necklace is built around an 18.5ct Libyan Desert Glass, that’s carved into a winged Scarab beetle. Above is a natural diamond halo, and below hangs a bezel set 2.37 ct Purple Spinel.
Around the Spinel I hand engraved 3 Egyptian inspired Heiroglyphs, representing:
Give Birth / Create
Lotus Flower - for Beauty
Rising Sun - for Each Day
On the back of the pendant is carved the Eye of Horus and wings - representing Angelic Protection to the wearer.
Blue Sapphires are dispersed along the 18kt Gold Chain, tying the entire piece together.
This piece was entered into the 2025 AGTA Spectrum Awards Competition, my 1st entry into the competition.
